Ear screening program details of Shree Manohar Secondary School,

Mahadevtar, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal,, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Anita Kumpakha

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 509
• Total number of students with normal findings: 304 (59.73%)
• Total number of students with wax: 143 (28.1%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 2 (0.39%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 60 (11.78%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 20 (3.93%)
