Ear screening program details of Shree Pashupati Mitra Secondary School,

Chabahil, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Anita Kumpakha

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 640
• Total number of students with normal findings: 339 (52.96%)
• Total number of students with wax: 230 (35.94%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 71 (11.1%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 19 (2.97%)
