Ear screening program details of Sanskrit Secondary School,

Ranipokhari, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta & Ms. Anita Kumpakha

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 272
• Total number of students with normal findings: 150 (55.15%)
  • Normal with hearing loss: 4
• Total number of students with wax: 89 (32.72%)
  • Wax with hearing loss: 1
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 1 (0.37%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 32 (11.76%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 12 (4.41%)
