Ear screening program details of Mahendra Boudha Secondary School,

Boudha, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha ,Ms. Rashmi Maharjan & Ms. Rosy Bajracharya.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 490
• Total number of students with normal findings: 349 (71.22%)
• Total number of students with wax: 105 (21.42%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.20%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 35 (7.14%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 10 (2.04%)
