Ear screening program details of Shree Mahankal Secondary School,

Mahaboudha, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms Lea Savard

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 236
• Total number of students with normal findings: 107 (45.34%)
• Total number of students with wax: 111 (47.03%)
  • Wax with hearing loss: 2
• Total number of students with external ear probelm: 2 (0.85%)
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 16 (6.78%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 8 (3.39%)
  • CHL: 8
