Ear screening program details of Geetamata Secondary School,

Bijeshwori, Dallu, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms Karina Giri, Ms Roshna Shrestha

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 967
• Total number of students with normal findings: 573 (59.26%)
• Total number of students with wax: 334 (34.54%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 8 (0.83%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 52 (5.38%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 24 (3.47%)
