Ear screening program details of Shree Janata Model Secondary School,

Tansen, Palpa

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rosy Bajracharya, Ms Elina Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 867
• Total number of students with normal findings: 620 (71.51%)
• Total number of students with wax: 175 (20.18%)
• Total numner of students with external ear problem: 3(0.34%)
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 69 (7.95%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 15 (1.73%)
