Ear screening program details of Shree Balmikeshwor Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Sulochana Baral

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 335
• Total number of students with normal findings: 111 (33.13%)
  • Normal with hearing loss: 1
• Total number of students with wax: 185 (55.22%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 3 (0.90%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 36 (10.75%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 6 (1.79%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 2
