Ear screening program details of Basu Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta & Ms. Sulochana Baral

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 567
• Total number of students with normal findings: 250 (44.09%)
• Total number of students with wax: 207 (36.51%)
  • Wax with hearing loss: 1
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 3 (0.53%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 107 (18.87%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 13 (2.29%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 9
