Ear screening program details of Adarsha Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Sulochana Baral

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 713
• Total number of students with normal findings: 381 (53.44%)
  • Normal with hearing loss: 3
• Total number of students with wax: 223 (31.27%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.14%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 108 (15.15%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 8 (1.12%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 5
