Ear screening program details of Ganesh Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Sulochana Baral & Mr. Sulav Maharjan

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 599
• Total number of students with normal findings: 295 (49.24%)
  • Normal with hearing loss: 1
• Total number of students with wax: 214 (35.73%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 4 (0.68%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 86 (14.35%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 11 (1.02%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 8
