Ear screening program details of Shree Saraswoti Basic School

Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 140
• Total number of students with normal findings: 58 (41.43%)
  • Normal with hearing loss: 1
• Total number of students with wax: 56 (40%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 26 (18.75%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 4 (2.85%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 1
