Ear screening program details of Gandhi Adarsha Secondary School,

Kageshwori, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Anita Kumpakha, Ms. Julia Hoang & Ms. Shamss Alqahiri

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 1348
• Total number of students with normal findings: 740 (54.89%) 
  • Normal with hearing loss: 8
• Total number of students with wax: 432 (32.05%)
  • Wax with hearing loss: 3
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 6 (0.45%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 170 (12.61%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 9 (2.28%)
