Ear screening program details of Tej Binayak Secondary School,

Kageshwori, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Anita Kumpakha

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 501
• Total number of students with normal findings: 213 (42.51%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 230 (45.91%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 3 (0.6%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 55 (10.98%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 7 (1.39%)
