Ear screening program details of Shree Phutung Secondary School,

Phutung, Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Sulochana Baral.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 455
• Total number of students with normal findings: 241 (52.97%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 174 (38.24%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 3 (0.66%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 37 (8.13%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 4 (0.87%)
