Ear screening program details of Nepal Rastriya Nirman Secondary School,

Mulpani, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Sulochana Baral.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 599
• Total number of students with normal findings: 244 (40.73%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 276 (46.08%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 6 (1%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 73 (12.19%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 6 (1%)
