Ear screening program details of Shree Mansingh Dharma Secondary School,

Manamaiju, Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Sulochana Baral.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 849
• Total number of students with normal findings: 375 (44.17%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 324 (38.16%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 5 (0.59%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 145 (17.08%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 19 (2.24%)
