Ear screening program details of Nepal Rastriya Secondary School,

Nepaltar, Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Sulochana Baral.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 526
• Total number of students with normal findings: 252 (47.91%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 175 (33.27%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 7 (1.33%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 92 (17.49%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 4 (0.76%)
