Ear screening program details of Manamaiju Secondary School,

Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta & Ms. Sulochana Baral.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 550
• Total number of students with normal findings: 300 (54.54%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 159 (28.91%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 4 (0.73%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 87 (15.82%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 11 (2%)
