Ear screening program details of Shree Jitpur Secondary School,

Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Juliette Fiset & Mr. Alex Simard.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 349
• Total number of students with normal findings: 123 (35.24%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 156 (44.69%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 2 (0.57%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 68 (19.50%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 6 (1.72%)
