Ear screening program details of Shree Sangla Balkumari Secondary School,

Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Juliette Fiset & Mr. Alex Simard.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 293
• Total number of students with normal findings: 138 (47.11%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 96 (32.76%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 3 (1.02%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 56 (19.11%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 6 (2.04%)
