Ear screening program details of Kunchipwakal Secondary School,

Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Juliette Fiset & Mr. Alex Simard.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 123
• Total number of students with normal findings: 39 (31.71%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 64 (52.04%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 20 (16.26%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 4 (3.25%)
