Ear screening program details of Panga Secondary School

Panga, Kirtipur, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Ms. Smriti Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi, Ms. Elina Maharjan, Ms. Rosy Bajracharya, Mr. Ruben, Ms. Miren.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 283
• Total number of students with normal findings: 136(48.05%)
• Total number of students with wax: 122(43.11%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.35%)
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 16(5.65%)
• SNHL: 4(1.41%)
• Total number of student with hearing loss: 15(5.30%)
