Ear screening program details of Shree Janasewa Higher Secondary School

Kirtipur, Kathmandu

 Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Belu Kayastha, Ms. Smriti Shrestha, Ms. Mana Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan,   Ms. Alina  Madhikarmi & Ms. Rosy Bajracharya. 

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 823
• Total number of students with normal findings: 525 (63.79%)
• Total number of students with wax: 259 (31.47%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 5 (0.6%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 27 (3.28%)
• SNHL: 7 (0.85%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 19 (2.3%)
