Ear screening program details of Taudaha Secondary School

Taudaha, Kathmandu

 Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Belu Kayastha, Ms. Smriti Shrestha, Ms. Mana Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan,   Ms. Alina  Madhikarmi & Ms. Rosy Bajracharya. 

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 263
• Total number of students with normal findings: 163 (61.97%)
• Total number of students with wax: 86 (32.69%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 11 (4.18%)
• SNHL: 3 (1.14%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 10 (3.80%)
