Ear screening program details of Kirtipur Secondary School

 Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Santosh Kumar, Ms. Smriti Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Alina  Madhikarmi & Ms. Rosy   Bajracharya. 

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 212
• Total number of students with normal findings: 122 (57.54%)
• Total number of students with wax: 68 (32.07%)
• Total number of students with impacted wax with hearing loss: 4(1.88%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.47%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 12 (5.66%)
• Total number of students with no complain of hearing loss: 4 (1.88%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 15 (7.07%)
