Ear screening program details of Kuleshwor Secondary School

Kuleshwor, Kathmandu

 Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Namita Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan,  Ms. Alina  Madhikarmi & Elina Maharjan.

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 315
• Total number of students with normal findings: 182 (57.77%)
• Total number of students with wax: 92 (29.2%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.31%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 37 (11.74%)
• SNHL: 3(0.95%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 18 (5.71%)
