Ear screening program details of Janabikash Secondary School

Balkhu, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr.Rajesh Maharjan, Ms. Smriti Shrestha, Ms. Rosy Bajracharya, Ms. Prity Maharjan,  Ms. Alina  Madhikarmi.

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 231
• Total number of students with normal findings: 139 (60.17%)
• Total number of students with wax: 83 (35.93%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.43%)
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 8 (3.46%)
• SNHL: 0
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 9 (3.89%)
