Ear screening program details of Mahendra Saraswoti Secondary School,

Teku, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Rajesh Maharjan, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Rosy Bajracharya, Ms. Elina Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 167
• Total number of students with normal findings: 95 (56.88%)
• Total number of students with wax: 61(36.52%)
• Total numner of students with external ear problem: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 11 (6.58%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 7 (4.19%)
