Ear screening program details of Pranidhi Secondary School,

Balambu, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Elina Maharjan, Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 230
• Total number of students with normal findings: 124 (53.91%)
• Total number of students with wax: 90(39.13%)
• Total numner of students with external ear problem: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 16 (6.95%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 2 (0.86%)
