Ear screening program details of Prabhat Secondary School,

Naghal, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Rosy Bajracharya & Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 182
• Total number of students with normal findings: 101 (55.49%)
• Total number of students with wax: 55 (30.21%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.55%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 21 (11.54%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 8 (4.39%)
