Ear screening program details of Bansbari Secondary School,

Bansbari, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Elina Maharjan &  Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 533
• Total number of students with normal findings: 345 (64.72%)
• Total number of students with wax: 145 (27.20%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 3 (0.56%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 40 (7.50%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 18 (3.37%)
