Ear screening program details of Nandi Secondary School,

Naxal, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Elina Maharjan &  Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 343
• Total number of students with normal findings: 210 (61.22%)
• Total number of students with wax: 103 (30.02%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 29 (8.45%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 13 (3.79%)
