Ear screening program details of Panchakanya Secondary School,

Baluwatar, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Rosy Bajracharya & Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 216
• Total number of students with normal findings: 125 (57.87%)
• Total number of students with wax: 73 (33.79%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2 (0.92%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 16 (7.40%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 4 (1.85%)
