Ear screening program details of Dhumrabaraha Secondary School,

Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Elina Maharjan & Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 320
• Total number of students with normal findings: 199 (62.18%)
• Total number of students with wax: 84 (26.25%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.31%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 36 (11.25%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 7 (2.18%)
