Ear screening program details of Saraswoti Niketan Secondary School,

Brahama Tole, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Elina Maharjan & Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 522
• Total number of students with normal findings: 288 (55.17%)
• Total number of students with wax: 191 (36.59%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.19%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 42 (8.04%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 24(4.59%))
