Ear screening program details of Bishnu Devi Shikshya Sadan Secondary School,

Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Elina Maharjan & Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 707
• Total number of students with normal findings: 737 (61.81%)
• Total number of students with wax: 231 (32.67%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2(0.28%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 37 (5.23%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 5 (0.71%)
