Ear screening program details of Shree Gram Shikshya Mandir Secondary School,

Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Karina Giri, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms Roshna Shrestha & Ella Breese

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 540
• Total number of students with normal findings: 322 (59.63%)
• Total number of students with wax: 187 (34.63%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 5 (0.92%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 26 (4.82%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 11 (2.03%)
