Ear screening program details of Shaheed Shukra Secondary School,

Bagbazar, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Karina Giri, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta & Ella Breese

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 256
• Total number of students with normal findings: 117 (45.70%)
• Total number of students with wax: 121 (47.26%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 1 (0.4%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 17 (6.64%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 6 (2.34%)
