Ear screening program details of Jalupa Secondary School,

Jalupa, Tokha, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Karina Giri & Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta 

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 673
• Total number of students with normal findings: 347 (51.56%)
• Total number of students with wax: 285 (42.35%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 5 (0.47%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 36 (5.35%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 15 (2.27%)
