Ear screening program details of Shree Udaya Kharka Secondary School,

Bistagaun, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Julia Hoang & Ms. Shamss Alqahiri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 210
• Total number of students with normal findings: 86 (40.95%)
• Total number of students with wax: 88 (41.91%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 3 (1.43%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 33 (15.71%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 5 (2.38%)
