Ear screening program details of Shree Kitini Secondary School,

Taukhel, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Anita Kumpakha, Ms. Julia Hoang & Ms. Shamss Alqahiri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 622
• Total number of students with normal findings: 323 (51.93%)
• Total number of students with wax: 197 (31.67%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.16%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 101 (16.24%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 18 (2.89%)
