Ear screening program details of Shree Mahalaxmi Secondary School,

Lubhu, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta & Ms. Sulochana Baral.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 371
• Total number of students with normal findings: 174 (46.90%)
• Total number of students with wax: 122 (32.88%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 4 (1.08%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 71 (19.14%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 10 (2.69%)
