Ear screening program details of Namuna Machhindra Secondary School,

Lagankhel, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Sulochana Baral & Mr. Sulav Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 477
• Total number of students with normal findings: 252 (52.83%)
• Total number of students with wax: 146 (36.01%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 3 (0.63%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 76 (15.93%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 11 (2.46%)
