Ear screening program details of Adarsha Kanya Niketan Secondary School,

Mangal Bazar, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Sulochana Baral & Mr. Sulav Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 120
• Total number of students with normal findings: 56 (46.67%)
• Total number of students with wax: 35 (29.16%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2 (1.67%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 27 (22.5%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 8 (6.66%)
