Ear screening program details of Shree Shramik Shanti Secondary School,

Chyasal, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Sulochana Baral & Mr. Sulav Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 868
• Total number of students with normal findings: 452 (52.07%)
• Total number of students with wax: 291 (33.53%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 13 (1.50%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 112 (12.90%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 9 (1.03%)
