Ear screening program details of Shree Mahendra Bhirkuti Secondary School,

Jawalakhel, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Juliette Fiset, Mr. Alex Simard & Mr. Sulav Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 544
• Total number of students with normal findings: 250 (45.95%)
• Total number of students with wax: 169 (31.07%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 5 (0.92%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 120 (22.06%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 7 (1.29%)
