Ear screening program details of Shree Balkumari Basic School,

Sainbu, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Rajbhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Sulochana Baral & Ms. Roshna Shrestha. 

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 137
• Total number of students with normal findings: 55 (40.15%)
• Total number of students with wax: 52 (37.96%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 6 (4.37%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 24(17.52%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 1 (0.72%)
