Ear screening program details of Donagak Choeling Nunnery, Yalbang, Humla

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Monica Schumacher, Mr. Binay Bikram Adhikari, Mr. Naresh Shakya, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi, Ms. Elina Maharjan,Mr. Gylchen Lama, Mr. Topden Lama, Mr Rajan Shahi.

Active participation and support was provided by the teacher during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 15
• Total number of students with normal finding: 8(53.33%)
• Total number of students with wax: 0
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 0    
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 4(26.66%)

• SNHL: 3 (20%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 5(33.33%)   
  • CHL: 2
  • SNHL: 3
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 2
