Ear screening program details of Tsarang Gumba, Tsarang, Upper Mustang

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Susanne Von, Der Heider, Lama Tsering Tashi, Audio-technician: Ms. Prity Maharjan, Community Ear Assistant:Mana Shrestha, Mr. Naresh Shakya, Mrs. Beatriz, Mr. Txaber.

Active participation and support was provided by the teacher during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 24
• Total number of students with normal finding: 16(66.66%)
• Total number of students with wax: 0
Total number of students with middle ear problem: 8(33.33%)
• CSOM TT: 4
• Retracted TM: 3
• ASOM: 1
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 3 (12.5%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 2
